Wapperwell Is On Form
NAFA's Wapperwell Pond situated in the Ideford dip is fishing well at present. The recent stockings of skimmers, small carp and tench seem to have woken the resident fish and decent bags of sizeable fish are coming out. The prefered method seems to be the pole fishing expander pellets, corn and maggot (maggots get the fish feeding then change to pellet or corn for the larger fish).
Get out and have a go, Wapperwell can be fished day ticket or Associate membership (and of course full membership).

Re: Wapperwell Is On Form
At Rackerhayes the tench are feeding in Island Pond - Richard Hamlyn had 9 including, 5 of the newly stocked fish, on legered corn. Wheel Pond continues to produce good bags of carp to 4 lb on corn or pellet.
The larger carp are waking up in Dores Pond - Dean Bradford had 1 of 21 lb plus several Bream up to 8 lb, while Ryan Turnstall had a common of 20 lb.
Key is fishing well for Skimmers and Roach on the pole and maggot, while Wapperwell is producing some excellent catches of the newly stocked Tench, Carp and Skimmers on corn or soft pellet.
Fish all 3 ponds at Spring for Carp to double figures and Charlecombe for Carp to 15 lb.
