Winter League
The third round of the Tackle Trader Winter League saw a last minute change of venue from Wapperwell to Bradley due to the former being frozen solid on the morning of the match, meaning that the anglers were far from prepared for the different style of fishing required at Bradley!
Rick Johnston ran out the winner on the day with bream and skimmers on groundbait feeder and maggot on Peg 9 for 5k 450g.
Second was John Durham on Peg 24 with 1k 550g of roach on pole and caster, and third was Mark Cousins on Peg 25 with a similar catch for 980g
Dominic Holmes pleasure fished Peg 6 on Bradley during the week for an estimated 30lb net of skimmers and roach fishing 14.5 pole with maggots on groundbait.
Elsewhere, Spring Ponds are producing odd carp to double figures on corn or maggots. Key for roach and the odd skimmer, Rackerhays still slow but should start improving soon.
