NAFA Winter League - March 11
March 11th Update - Posted By Barry Island but moved to a dedicated section by TF
Round 8 of the N.A.F.A Tackle Trader Winter League was fished on Wheel and Wapperwell Ponds on Sunday, despite gale force winds making conditions difficult, some excellent catches were recorded.
Winner on the day was Martin Tyler from peg 9 on Wapperwell with carp and skimmers on the pole and sweet corn for 11k 120g.
Second was Mark Newman from peg 5 on Wapperwell with 12 carp on pole and pellet for 8k 550g. Third was Mark Cousins from peg 2 on Wheel with carp on pole and sweet corn for 6k 830g.
Section winners were Chris Grey with 6k 350g on Wheel Pond and Jamie Pearce at Wapperwell with 4k.
N.A.F.A waters benefited from some new stock being introduced last week - 120 prime tench of weights up to 4.5 lb were introduced to Island, Wapperwell, Linhay and Spring Ponds.
Reports this week indicate that all the Ponds are starting to produce fish as the water temperature improves - for up to date information please visit www.newtonfishing.com

Re: NAFA Winter League - March 11
Good to see that the fishing weights were good, especially for the day that Sunday was and great news that more fish have been introduced into NAFA's waters, especially as they are tench . If you are not yet a member of NAFA you might consider joining or buying a day ticket or two and having a go for those tench.
