Notes from March Committee meeting

Stocking. Final numbers of Tench stocked are Wapperwell 30, Island 52, Linhay 15, Spring (top pond) 15 average size of all fish just below 2lb. Island had a 7lb Bream, 4 skimmers and 50lb of Roach and Perch introduced.

Weed Treatment. All finished on top pond at Rocombe, Spring Ponds which is now fishing well and there is a little more colour in the water now. At Dores approximately 15% treated to make many clear spots and also to make platforms easier to fish. Let us have feedback on success, or otherwise, on what has been done.

Work Parties. Wednesday afternoon sessions will stop soon and Monday evenings will be the time to get involved. Phone if you can spare some time, numbers on the contact page at www.newtonfishing.com .Island pond has been re-pegged and trimmed, the ropes removed from Wheel pond and some work is being done on First pond.
