July 7th Update
Last weekend was the second round of the NAFA All Night Series on Key and Bradley Ponds. Winner on the night was Neal Stone from peg 18 on Key with 18k 500g of Skimmers and Bream caught on the waggler and corn or maggot. Second was Phil Coles from peg 11 on Bradley with a similar catch for 11k 400g, third was Mark Newman from peg 9 on Bradley with 9k 400g.
Elsewhere, Rackerhayes continues to produce good Tench from all ponds with Dores pond also producing Bream to 9lb and Carp to mid 20's. Fish Sawmills for Bream to 6lb on feeder fished corn or pellet; Eddison for good nets of Roach and Skimmers and the odd Carp to 15lb. This Sunday is the 2 in 1 Match at Bradley, please book in beforehand. Contact details are at .www.newtonfishing.com
The NAFA Juniors fished Wapperwell in the latest round of the Teign Trophy Summer League and George Fitter recorded his first ever match win with 4k 550g, narrowly beating Sam Powell who had 4k 500g,visit the club website www.newtonfishing.com for more details.
Bovey scouts enjoyed their fish in on Wheel pond last night catching lots of roach and perch as well as a baby tench which shows the stock are healthy and spawning in this water. Try as we might we just couldn't hook into one of the large resident Carp.
