July 5th Update

Last week was the annual Dave Brailey Memorial Match on Rackerhayes, and fittingly the tench were in an obliging mood.

Winner was Neil Bradford on Island Pond Peg 28 with 10k 950g, this made up of five tench on pole and maggot. Neil unfortunately lost a further seven tench!

Second was Carl Everton on Dores Pond Peg 129 with three big tench on the feeder for 9k 300g, and third was Phil Bailey on Island Pond Peg 31 with 7k 750g also made up of tench.

Last Saturday night was Round 2 of the All Night Series on Key and Bradley Ponds.

Winner was Mark Newman on Peg 9 at Bradley with 8k 200g of skimmers and roach.

Second was Mark Cousins on Key Pond Peg 19 with a similar catch for 7k 850g, and third was Liam Dore on Key Pond peg 21 with 7k 680g.

All the N.A.F.A. waters are fishing generally very well at the moment, particularly Sawmills,Wapperwell and Charlecombe.

This weekend is the 2 in 1 match at Bradley.
