Trip to Milemead is confirmed for October 28th, depart from Rackerhayes at 7.30a.m. and leave Milemead at 4.00p.m. No charge for Junior members. Seniors can also travel but will have to pay for their day ticket. Book in with Paul Power.

27lb Carp from Dores.

The Annual "Drennan Junior Challenge" was held on Wheel Pond for Newton Abbot Fishing Associations Juniors last week, and the going was hard for the 18 competitors.
Winner was Alex Daniels on Peg 20 with two carp on the pole for 2k 550gms. Second was Alex's sister, Clare, on Peg 6 with one carp for 1k 600g and third was Ryan Northcott, again with a single carp for 1k 450g. Many thanks to Drennan for their continued generous sponsorship of the event.


The latest round of the N.A.F.A. Senior Club League was held on Bradley Pond.

Winner on the day was Gaz Ryland on Peg 18 with skimmers and roach on pole and caster for 5k 700g.Second was John Dore on Peg 8 with a similar catch for 4k 650g, and third was Steve Walker on Peg 22 with 3k 500g.

Elsewhere, Joshua Critchell had an excellent seven carp haul from Dores Pond, topped by a superb 27lb 12oz common.Dores has produced bream to 8lb and nets of silvers. Odd tench are still showing in First and Linhay; fish Island Pond for carp to 15lb.
Key, Sawmills and Eddison are a little harder than of late but skimmers and roach can still be caught.

Wapperwell is still in good form for skimmers, carp and tench, while Spring and Charlecombe still producing carp to double figures!
