N.A.F.A. held their annual Festival last weekend, and despite the hot weather, some superb catches were taken.

On Day 1, Key Transport was the place to be, producing the top three weights on the day.

Winner was Gary Webber on Peg 1, which was also the bonus peg, resulting in an extra £100 payout, with 9k 800g of roach and skimmers on the pole.

Second was Alan Hippsley on Peg 15, with a similar catch for 9k 200g, and third was Mike Smith on Peg 22 with mostly skimmers on the pole for 8k 250g.

Day 2 was on Rackerhayes and Mark Cousins produced a stunning net of fish from Peg 10 on Island Pond, consisting of 10 tench, 4 bream and 3 carp on groundbait feeder with caster hookbait for 41k 410g.

Second was Matt Pickup on Dores Peg 110 with 6 bream and a tench on feeder and pellet for 18k 150g, and third was Mike Mudge on Dores Peg 111 with a similar catch for 14k.

Overall, unsurprisingly, Mark Cousins ran out winner with a total weight of 45k 710g. Second was Matt Pickup with 23k 190g, narrowly beating Alan Hippsley into third with 23k 150g.

Elsewhere, Wapperwell continues to fish well for carp, tench and skimmers on pellets or corn on pole or waggler. Fish Sawmills for bream and roach on feeder or pole and Spring and Charlecombe for carp to double figures.

This weekend is the "Dave Brailey Memorial Match" on Rackerhayes.
