Carp from Dores and excellent match weights Empty Carp from Dores and excellent match weights

Wapperwell was the venue for the latest N.A.F.A. Club Match, and milder weather resulted in some good catches.


Winner on the day was Rick Johnston on Peg16 with 15k 600g of carp and skimmers on waggler and pellet. Second was Mark Newman on Peg 4 with 9k 300g of tench and skimmer on pole and maggot, and third was Sam Powell with 6k 100g of roach on pole and maggot.



N.A.F.A. Juniors fished the latest round of the Oakford Winter Series on Spring Ponds.



Winner of the Junior Section was Ben Avery with 7 carp for 18k 900g. Second was Claire Daniels with one carp and a few silvers for 2k 970g and third was Elliot Fay with all silvers for 2k 190g.



In the Intermediate Section, winner was Jason Fay with 2k 140g and second was Liam Dore with 2k 030g. The N.A.F.A. Junior presentation will take place 24th April at W.B.B Social Club, Abbrook Farm. Kingsteignton



At Rackerhayes, Simon Angliss had a superb catch of carp from Dores Pond, banking 7 between 14lb and 24lb on boilies. Wheel Pond continues to produce carp to 4lb on pellets or corn, Weedy for carp to 10lb and tench to 6lb on corn or maggot. Key and Bradley for skimmers, roach and perch.
