N.A.F.A. Seniors held their Annual Pairs Open Match on Key and Bradley last week.

On Key, youngster Liam Dore had top weight from Peg 1, with 8k 840g of skimmers, roach and perch on short pole and maggot.

Second was Paul Gay on Peg 15 with pole caught skimmers and roach for 5k 680g.
On Bradley, top weight was Mike Smith on Peg 22 who included a carp of 10k+ on 3lb line in his otherwise skimmer net of 15k 500g on waggler and maggot.

Second was John Dore on Peg 18 with pole and corn caught skimmers for 3k 220g.

There was a tie in points for the overall result, with Mike and Paul on three points, taking it on weight from John and Liam, also on three points.

In third place were Phil Coles and Mark Newman on eight points.

N.A.F.A. Juniors fished the first round of the Teign Trophy Summer League on Key. Winner on the day was Ashley Smith with 5k 510g. Second was Ben Avery with 3k 310g, and third was Alex Daniels with 1k 760g.

Winner of the Intermediates was Jason Fey with 1k 760g.

This Sunday is the John Loveridge Memorial Pole Match on Key and Bradley.

At Rackerhayes, many of the fish have been spawning, triggered by the recent hot weather, although sport can be had on most ponds.

Wapperwell continues its good form with mixed bags of skimmers, carp and tench as do Spring and Charlecombe with carp to 14lb showing on pellet, corn or meat.
